What Happens if I Lose My TapMo Card? (Security Best Practices)

Losing your wallet is stressful. Losing your business cards usually just means buying more. But if you lose your TapMo Card, is your data at risk? The good news is: TapMo is safer than paper.

The "Remote Lock" Feature

Unlike a paper card, which displays your phone number to anyone who finds it, a TapMo Card can be controlled remotely.

• Log in to your TapMo Dashboard.
• Toggle your card status to "Inactive" or "Hidden".
• Result: If someone finds your card and taps it, they will see an error message or a blank page. Your info is invisible.

Update, Don't Replace

If you find your card later (maybe it was just under the car seat), simply toggle it back to "Active", and it works again immediately.

The "Return to Owner" Message

You can even set your public profile to display a message saying: "This card belongs to [Name]. If found, please call...". This increases the chance of getting your premium metal card back!

With TapMo, you have a kill switch. You can't say that about a stack of paper cards left in a taxi.
