The Art of Laser Engraving: How We Create the Permanent Finish on TapMo Metal

The Art of Laser Engraving: How We Create the Permanent Finish on TapMo Metal

Most business cards are printed with ink. Ink chips. Ink fades. Ink rubs off in your wallet. TapMo Metal Cards are different. We don't use ink; we use lasers. Here is why that matters for your brand's longevity.

The Process

Our metal cards start as a solid block of stainless steel. They are coated in a premium matte finish (Black, Gold, or Silver). To add your name and logo, we use a high-precision fiber laser. The laser burns away the top coating to reveal the raw steel underneath.

Why "Silver" Text?

Clients often ask, "Can I have my name in red on the metal card?" The answer is no - and that’s a good thing. The text appears silver/steel because that is the actual metal of the card shining through.

The Benefits of Engraving

  1. Permanence: It is physically impossible to scratch the text off without destroying the card.
  2. Precision: Lasers can render tiny details and QR codes with perfect sharpness that ink smears.
  3. Texture: You can run your finger over the card and actually feel your name etched into the steel.

A TapMo Metal Card isn't just printed; it's engineered. It’s a card built to last as long as your career.
