What Happens Offline? Using VCF Files for Networking
We live in a connected world, but sometimes you are in a hotel basement or an elevator with zero signal. A common worry is: "If my TapMo Card points to a website, how do I network when the internet is spotty?" The secret weapon is the VCF File.
What is a VCF (Virtual Contact File)?
Think of a VCF (or vCard) as a digital suitcase. It packs all your data - Name, Number, Email, Photo, Website - into a tiny file that phones understand natively. When someone clicks "Save Contact" on your TapMo profile, they are downloading this VCF file.

The "Offline" Advantage
Once that VCF file is downloaded and saved, you are offline-proof. Your details are now stored in their phone's internal address book (Contacts App). They no longer need the internet to find your phone number or email. You have moved from the "Cloud" to their "Pocket."
Pro Tip: The QR Backup
If you know you are going to an event with absolutely zero internet (like a remote retreat), you can generate a Static QR Code containing your VCF data directly and print it on the back of your card. This allows phones to scan and save your contact info even in Airplane Mode!
The goal of networking isn't just to show a website; it's to get into the address book. The VCF file is the key to staying there.
